Improving the communication within the submarine cable industry

Transforming the State of Subsea

With a strong belief in training the leaders of tomorrow, education is a pillar of APTelecom’s drive through the State of Subsea project.

This also ensures that APTelecom can develop and support sustainable projects for the industry that are carefully accessed.

Communication is key in any industry and so it’s no surprise that spreading our knowledge and among the industry is at the heart of the State of Subsea Project.

It’s is the foundation of all our relationship – across peers, customers and suppliers.

The health of our industry is paramount. Having lived through the tumultuous period of both Y2K and the DOTCOM era’s, APTelecom understand the importance of strong collaboration not only within its own network but across the industry.

A strong industry simply ensures everyone succeeds.

The industry is at a transformational time in the submarine cable space, and there is a need to come together and exchange ideas and insights and work together toward cultivating a culture of innovation and collaboration across the entire sector.

The goal of APTelecom’s ‘State of Subsea’ event series is to establish a forum for all industry players, and to improve the communication within the submarine cable industry for new models and ideas as a younger generation moves into the space.

Friends International

There are hundreds of millions marginalized children and youth in the world. Not only does this situation affect us all (development, public health, public security…), but it continues to get worse despite the efforts of many organizations to turn things around. We believe that traditional charity models are not working and need to be replaced by new models that combine the best of the NGO world and the best of the business world.
In order to respond to that challenge, Friends-International focuses on four main priorities:
  • To reach the highest social return and impact through its Friends Programs, the ChildSafe Movement and the ChildSafe Alliance
  • To provide best quality services to those we help through building best practice models in all Friends Programs and throughout the ChildSafe Alliance.
  • To replicate successful models in line with local realities through the ChildSafe Alliance.
  • To ensure the sustainability of our programs in terms of structure, policy development, behavior change and financially through our Friends Social Business Program.
Millions of children currently live and work on the margins of society as existing models of support are not effective enough.
This is not acceptable. Together we can build a future where all children are safe from all forms of abuse and become functional productive citizens of their country, contributing to a more peaceful, equitable and sustainable world.
